I had forgotten how completely amazing this film was. I’m pretty sure I got this for free back in 2018 when MoviesAnywhere had a one year anniversary, but I have no evidence of that in my inbox, they likely didn’t send a receipt.
Regardless, here I am three years later, finally watching the digital movie I got in 2018 for a movie made in 2006 about a tap dancing penguin and the power of perseverance, directed by the same guy that gave us Mad Max, Mad Max: Beyond Thunder Dome, and Mad Max: Fury Road.
Honestly….this movie was lame as hell.
They have no fish…so they’re dancing….
WTF…?
“they” were not dancing because of that, they had religious leaders telling them that the fish shortage was because of this demonic child that was dancing.
They cast him out from the flock, but alas, that still did not solve their problems.
yeah…..it was pure dreck…
I’ve never seen it but I had a very religious co-worker who wouldn’t let his kids watch it because “the children question the adults”. I told him that it’s good to question authority and we never spoke much after that. I hope his kids turn out okay.
More likely because it’s pretty thinly veiled allegory for religious extremism
