The actual situation is considerably worse than this chart. I mean, segregation may had legally ended in 1954… but as a practical matter, it’s still going on. And lynching was a regular thing, A REGULAR THING, well into the 1960s. (And, arguably, as cases like George Floyd, and hundreds of others, show, lynching is still going on.)
