A spoiler free review:
If you’re a huge fan of the Matrix, you’ve already seen this, or you’re about to see it, however if you’re not a huge fan of the franchise, you can safely wait until it’s on broadcast TV or your friend has it on in the background while you’re over at their house for your annual BBQ in 10 years. It answers nothing, asks all sorts of questions, presents all sorts of problems, then flips it’s hair and leaves the building with a knowing wink. There’s no time to talk about why there’s no time, and gosh darn it, there’s a lot of fake fighting going on.
It feels more like a sequel to the ideology of Matrix Revolutions though, it definitely captures the feel of those last two films.
