Considering it was Star Wars I thought it was pretty obvious he was a clone. There were two movies and an animated show in universe with a shit-ton of clones running around. It makes sense that he’d have a few of himself lying around.
If the people in charge of the sequel trilogy would have planned out the whole thing ahead of time it might not have seemed like such an ass pull.
A cloned Palpy was literally the plot of a comic series.
But Star Wars was treated as a toy every director got to play with and they kept undoing everything the other had set up just to be dicks to each other. Don’t change horses midstream.
Yep, loved that comic series as a kid. Bought the “gold foil” edition even from QVC back in the day. Damn that was a long time ago.
I totally agree with you on the director change-up. Or, if you’re going to change up director’s at least have the same scriptwriter or main story writer, something to keep some consistency. I think that’s the biggest failing of the sequel trilogy.
I get what you’re saying, but if we’re going to go off what was in the EU, we’re going to end up with Cybernetic ewoks flying tie fighters and talking crystals.
