It’s long been an open joke that Apple’s instant messenger is seriously broken, from the spammy emotes it sends as actual messages to completely breaking your ability to get your messages if you have the audacity to switch from iphone to android. I remember back when I did that, it took me the better part of a month to realize that Apple was straight up not delivering any messages from iphone users, because all those messages were erroneously being garden walled inside the imessage system instead of being sent on to me like they should have been.
