This movie changes genres so many times I couldn’t even keep track of them all. Is it a romantic comedy? An action adventures? Maybe it’s a heist movie, or even perhaps a confidence job? No, maybe it’s about raiding tombs, pyramids, jungles, or what? For how confused it is about what kind of film it wants to be, it’s definitely an ok film that’s perfectly enjoyable for when you’re sitting alone on your couch and wanting something to watch. It’s also definitely a Rock film, so you get Dwayne Johnson all sweaty in the jungle a couple times, and it’s definitely a Ryan Reynolds movie, so you’ll be getting an absolute onslaught of topical quips and self referential humor. Gal doesn’t seem to have a singular type of movie in her career, I hope she keeps it that way too.
