The sad thing is, Zoom detention is a thing. Like, you’re required to log into a special Zoom session and then just sit there quietly. Because you dared to go to the bathroom in your own home without asking someone who had never entered the domicile if you were permitted to. Or you showed up to online school without wearing your school uniform. Or any number of ridiculous powertrip infractions that were made up for the sole purpose of letting former school bullies continue to be school bullies under color of authority.
