    I love how everyone thinks rock and roll happened overnight. That Bill Haley and His Comets did “Rock Around the Clock” which was like nothing anyone had ever heard before, it shot straight to number one, and the world of popular music would never be the same.

    You know what the next number one record was after “Rock Around the Clock”?

    “Yellow Rose of Texas.
