    Good article. I think it would be interesting to see people flip out if this was proposed. “You want voter ID? Fine, here it is, it’s national, everyone gets one and it’s free.” You’ll get to see everyone on the political spectrum freak out. It’d be fun few weeks before the bill dies in committee.

    The entire point of Voter ID is to make sure that certain types of people can’t vote. This is why they shut down DMVs in black neighborhoods: to make that ID harder to get. When you need to go 50 miles to get an ID, and take several hours that you maybe don’t have to spend, getting that card doesn’t seem worth it.
