That’s right. Whites and blacks commit murder and rape at the same rates. It’s just that 90% of white people don’t get convicted. White folk happy to have killers and rapists among them, always vote not guilty.
I do advocate returning the right to vote the very moment that felons are no longer incarcerated (not parole, not probation)…… Who else would have intimate knowledge about the details to have an informed vote? It strikes me as unreasonable punishment once the society debt has been paid. It just seems like an easy target to disenfranchise a certain group (insert retort about the racist/non-racist nature of whom the former incarcerated are). Special “permission” from a Governor strikes me a too capricious a filter to a fundamental right.
Good lord…in Canada there is literally a special mail in ballot for the incarcerated to make sure they aren’t disenfranchised.
I’ve never understood America’s preoccupation with making it harder to vote for literally everyone.
Saying the law is racist is a tacit acknowledgement that crime rates vary with pigmentation; thus saying the law is racist is also racist.
Conviction rates, not necessarily crime rates.

Do you honestly think every one of these people was a rapist or murderer? That’s a weird as shit worldview.
There is no plausible way to infer that from what I wrote.
oof, you were so close
