Well… the problem you’re having is that he seemingly only ever criticises Democrats from the left. He is silent when it comes to the Right-wing-wingnuts. Among folks who study this sort of thing it’s talked about as the “horseshoe effect”, I think. Both ends of the horse shoe bitch about the center. To me, it makes me think he’s utterly insincere because, if you recall, Donald Trump was criticising Biden the exact same way for some portion of the 2020 campaign, and Hillary as well, back in 2016. Also, of course, SoS has picked up any number of Faux News/FSB/GRU talking points, and that just looks suspicious. I mean, if Hillary and Biden are so thoroughly owned by the Russians, one is hard pressed to understand why the Russians were working so closely with Trump’s campaign.
(Does anyone still remember that Don Jr. said his meeting with the FSB in Trump Tower was “mostly about adoptions”?)
Anyway, SoS is certainly a hack; I’m not sure it matters precisely which kind of hack.
