It’s been on my watch list for years and I finally got around to it this last weekend as I was nursing a hangover and was completely bored by life and angry that I had so many responsibilities. I feel like this movie is a good response to anyone feeling that way, as the Brie Larson character is someone with stars in her eyes, with a slight sarcastic glint that makes her just throw away all her rainbow hobbies and get a ‘real’ job where she’s harassed by an older guy and gets all her ideas shot down because they’re incredibly BAD.
It’s a four year old movie at this point, but still the rest of this is spoilers:
She doesn’t even get her unicorn at the end of the story, and I half way think this is the story of a woman that has a psychological break and is only barely saved by a guy she met at a hardware store.
