if you enjoyed “bird box” because it was an apocalyptic story as it happened, you’ll enjoy “awake” which is a story about an apocalypse as it happens. There’s some goofy stuff going on here, but luckily it’s kept to the bare minimum and the end result is a fantastically quick story about what happens when you can’t sleep. ever.
