It’s a heavy gauge plastic normally used for spraying fields with insecticides or water. Should hold up to fuel and any pressure from vapor expansion but doesn’t make it right. He stops at an intersection in the wrong part of town and somebody will grab that red handle and watch a few hundred dollars of fuel spill out!
