Cancel culture (or “consequence culture”, as LeVar put it) is horrific. How many mistakes have you made where if the wrong person got offended, it could get you thrown out of school or terminated from your job? Civil societies used to be able to tolerate differences of opinions, and it should be considered healthy to listen to other opinions (even wrong ones) and then talk ’em out (where maybe minds can be changed), instead of activists screaming for people to be fired or products/entire states to be boycotted.
differences of opinion don’t mean telling your coworker they’re not human because of their skin color, or saying they don’t deserve to vote because of who their sexual orientation.
Extreme left or right people who hold obnoxious opinions like that aren’t common and are in fact probably incredibly rare, but even if I knew of any in real life, why try to get them fired from their jobs? They’d probably have no difficulty getting into trouble with HR due to something else.
She tried a “gotcha” question and he shut that shit down. Good job LeVar Burton.

Oh btw, Stacey Abrams changed her mind about the Georgia Boycotts she had called for.
