IANAL, but, as a practical matter, “it was only satire” just doesn’t seem a likely argument to get her out of this, given all the (badly written, typo-laden) court filings she filed with a signature, under penalty of perjury, alleging that her outrageous claims were true. Further, this filing appears to be a guilty plea to the request for sanctions that Detroit filed against her. No one’s going to get a billion dollar settlement from her over all this, but, she may well end up living in a cardboard box under an overpass shouting at pigeons and passersby. Ya HATE to see it.
