    what’s hilarious to me is that the idiots that are saying this think they’re being witty, like holy shit, do you guys honestly think this is the same thing that Trump’s version of the situation was?

    here’s a hint: it’s not. these are unaccompanied children that are presenting to the boarder. Trump’s version was kids that were being stripped from their families.

    Stripped from their families without so much as a receipt, no keeping track of who was taken from whom, and when, whatsoever, making it nearly impossible to reunite the families with their kids. They did it that way ON PURPOSE.

This is a “return to normal” so that centrist dipshits can put their heads in the sand and go back to ignoring the downright appalling treatment of asylum seekers and refugees. Right down to opening the same fucking facilities run by the same private companies that denied kids water and basic hygiene necessities like toothpaste and soap. I mean I understand if you have investments in private prisons, or if caging kids is your kink, but if not there is zero reason to support this.     That attitude is exactly how you get mandatory-private-health-insurance-for-most instead of actual universal healthcare like every other country in the world.
