Utah lawmakers nix idea requiring consent as part of sex education

Legislation that would have required Utah’s sex education curriculum in grades 7-12 to include instruction about consent was defeated by the House Education Committee on Monday.

    Last thing Mormons want is their young girls learning that they can say “no” to sex.

    Be wary of any group that sequesters themselves from society, because rape is usually the real reason. I hear the Amish also have this problem (disclaimer: this is not an attack on the Jewish faith itself).
