To Tiki God’s point: Sure, Trump tried everything he could think of to overturn the election, and destroy our fragile republic, but the libs always forget about Obama wearing a tan suit, and there was something, I have no idea what, about mustard. So, tots matchy-matchy. (And I am *quite* sure, that’s exactly what Tiki God meant.)
I know you Americans tend to forget the rest of the world exists, which I suppose is convenient when a president you like orders drone strikes on weddings in the Middle East. But the differences between Trump and Biden are not so stark the farther away you get from your own arseholes. Things looking better domestically and a president that doesn’t post mean tweets notwithstanding, we’ll see if the rest of the world is going to see any improvements with a new regime in the US. Biden saying he’ll remove Yemen’s terrorist designation is a good sign, but seeing as the Dems are usually no less hawkish than the GOP, and in fact turn it up a notch more often than not, you’ll have to forgive me for being skeptical.
i guess if you squint so hard you close your eyes and never pay attention to what they do, sure that’s true. the problem is that there’s no reality in what you’re saying, there’s so much daylight between the two parties, they’re night and day. the chuckle fucks had four years to fix shit and didn’t do a single god damn thing, and it took less than a week for the Biden admin to put a plan into place that’s going to get us where we need to be.
they didn’t even have a god damn coronoa plan in place, not even a single one. Turns out “everyone fights amongst themselves” really was their plan.
All well and good – even if the superdooper cool plan is to roll out the vaccine at the same pace as the moron with no plan was already doing. In spite of which, Biden’s admin will no doubt take Covid more seriously and slow the loss of life that was snowballing under said moron. And hey, he cancelled keystone right out of the gate, which was a small but welcome step in the right direction. But again, look past your nose. I’m not talking domestically, I’m talking about what the change in president means to those living abroad, especially those that the USA is hostile towards.
Anyways, y’all seem to take it quite personally whenever someone critcizes dear leader, regardless of where the criticism comes from or whether it is valid. I thought that was a thing that only the Trump camp did, but I guess it’s an American thing.
So criticizing US foreign interventionist policy is bad, or at least the same foreign policy as practiced by Dems. Same for pointing out any similarities between the two parties that, to varying degrees, serve the interests of the wealthy over the needs of ordinary Americans. No, no, it’s not decades of failed neoliberalism that relentlessly fucks everyone over with a few wealthy exceptions that led to Trump, it’s daring to be critical of the one party that performs woke theatre and does marginally more for the public than the other one. The military industrial complex is good. Doing far too little to prevent an environmental disaster is good, because it is not doing nothing. And don’t you DARE criticize giving inadequate crumbs to those in need, you ungrateful fucks, or you’ll get nothing. And no matter what, if you don’t shut the fuck up and know your place, we’ll blame you for the inevitable nihilism and backlash that leads to the next more capable Trump. God fucking help us all.
Both parties trip over themselves to fellate banks and Wall Street. Both parties are rabidly opposed to single-payer universal healthcare. Neither party has met a military spending bill it wouldn’t stab a baby to get passed. Other than the 4-year freakshow of the recent past, we had decades of nothing but minor cosmetic differences between them. Which, contrary to your “vote Blue or else you get Trump” bullshit, is PRECISELY why Trump was able to happen. Do you really think a venal, corrupt, lying dipshit like that could have won if the status quo was anything but terrible-and-getting-continuously-worse?
I disagree with you a lot, but I appreciate when someone is able to admit they may have been wrong, and maybe even happy they were. I won’t ask you to eat shit if you are. Maybe ask you to put ketchup on eggs or something. Unless that’s something you already like. Then maybe on like, I don’t know, fish.
I’m wrong too often to care more about being right than I care about things turning out for the better. This and cancelling the Keystone pipeline are nice first steps and I’m glad to see it. Lots of things about his admin are still making me worry, and four years is a long time, but hey – a reasonably good start. I’m cautiously, well, if not optimistic, them I’m cautiously less cynical 🙂
Hardly.
“but both sides are the same!”
Hardly.

it was libtard BROWN mustard.

And that’s the attitude that got us 4 years of Trump…
I’m genuinely confused by this reply. What attitude led to 4 years of Trump?
The “fuck Hillary” attitude.
The “Dems are no different than Repubs” attitude.

Bernie was never going to happen in the US.
Dream all you want, but America isn’t there yet.
The attitude that calls the Dems “woke theatre” is how progressives refused to vote Dem….and the world got Trump.
Bitch all you want about the evils of American interventionist policy, but change was never going to happen overnight.
And on no planet are Dems and Repubs similar.
Certainly not in the last 3 decades…

You were never going to get Bernie.
Get over it.
It’s not about Bernie, you turnip! It’s about preventing the next (and worse) Trump.
Where do you live, padre? If it’s the US where are you from, since you say you’re not an American?
Everyone hates US foreign interventionist policy until we stop their neighboring countries from attacking or invading them.
Somewhere, someone out there is thinking about you and the tremendous positive impact you have had on their life.
[It’s not me, I think you’re a cunt,]
“the differences between Trump and Biden are not so stark”
What’s it like to have nearly the entire population of the world disagree with you?
They do? Holy shit! I finally know how it feels to be an American!
Hey, a good step early in his tenure! If he keeps this up, I will happily eat my words, with an extra heaping of shit and ketchup!

You, Sir, are the Gentleman that I used to want to be.
