A simple story of a family that was chased out of their home town due to the incompetent greed of their older brother. They end up in “the valley” where they manage to trigger the literal apocalypse. It’s a story that starts slow and cute, but ends with dragons waking up to eat the world and the lord of locus trying to do evil stuff at the same time. I had originally purchased and read this story back when it was being released in black and white floppies, then after it was all over Scholastic did a fantastic small format collection that was all in color. I bought them because they were cheap and I loved the series, put them on a shelf, and thought to myself “yep, I’ll read those soon”.

I’m cleaning off shelves and reducing my display collection, and while I love these books, I think I’m going to sell them to someone that hasn’t had the experience yet, I hope they love the story as much as I did.
