Given my experience with army computer systems at the user level, and having some close friends who work on the back end, this would be extremely hard.
Not because the security is good. Usually the systems are so fing poorly written and out of date that it makes intended use difficult.
Ever try to get 15 computers to talk when you have 3 different operating systems, (1 being XP) radio specific command settings, have to manually enter in every ID an IP & max address, to transmit data over an FM radio.
And then try and get it to sync with another computer system which is talking through a satellite transmitter receiver. Running Linux (now).
Those are going to be such a pain in the ass when they get lost.
Or someone takes over their command line and forces them to dance to a different tune!

Good to know.
