Warren Pressley introduce bill to make it a crime for police officers to deny medical care to people in custody

Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.) and Rep. Ayanna Pressley (D-Mass.) announced Friday they will introduce a bill that would hold law enforcement officers criminally liable for not providing medical care to people in their custody.

    Or….we could just require cops to be professionals who know the law and have to obey it themselves.

    Given the bloated mess that most states laws (to say nothing of local or federal), I don’t think a person could possibly be a qualified LEO with anything less then a doctorate.

    That said, Pennsylvania requires a bachelors degree (in addition to the LEO academy), and o ur state police are widely respected and held accountable.

    Unlike say, philly PD.
