I like the spirit of it, but, wouldn’t it be more appropriate to use Kirk at the end of ST3 when he explains to Spock that they risked their lives and forfeited their carriers in order to save him? “The needs of the few outweigh the needs of the many.” After all, we’re all in lock down in order to prevent the most vulnerable from being left to die with no hospitalization.

The actual motivation to act was to keep McCoy from going insane but that wasn’t very important to the writer working on the closing dialog.
