You’re not gonna get drafted. It’s easy to maintain an all-volunteer military if you engineer generational poverty and offer military service as the only way some kids will ever go to college (if they survive).

Of course, our military then turns around and breaks all those promises, because we can’t have people lifting their families out of poverty.
