A previous Holmes movie named “Without A Clue” asked “what if Sherlock Holmes was an alcoholic idiot?” and answered it with “then Dr Watson must be the brains of the operation!”.
“Holmes & Watson” asks a similar question : “what if Holmes AND Watson are idiots?”. The answer is less funny than ‘Without A Clue’ but certainly not worthy of the negative critical reviews that followed it’s release. It’s exactly what I would expect if the two Step Brothers cosplayed Sherlock for a weekend and has some really funny jokes and a story that isn’t complete garbage.
