I can’t tell who the bad guys are or what their motivations are, and the weapons all sounds weak and flat. Additionally, the explosions have little smoke and don’t really have the kind of impact I would expect from a giant mech show.
That being said, everything else about the show is absolutely fantastic. The voice work is high quality, the music is fantastic, and the basic story structure is captivating. The first season is really short, but I highly suggest it.
