    Hey! Look at this cool healthy tree I just killed, I’s just a girl so’s OK; I also have a photo of my girl cousin with a recently killed giraffe.

    So I assume you have nothing made of wood in your house? Because obviously she is doing this for sport, not because it is a building material.

    Helluva nice house that little section of wood will make.
    Don’t be obtuse, the key word was “Healthy”. It’s circumference isn’t really big enough to harvest lumber from; give it a few years to grow and suck some carbon out of the system first, harvest it gently while singing it a lullaby, and then replant two saplings to replace it.
    I am an accomplished woodworker and builder, you shouldn’t ASSume.

    Because only houses are made of wood, nothing else. And there is no other reason to cut down a tree. Maybe they are clearing the land for construction. Maybe its roots are encroaching on a structure.

    You say don’t assume, yet you yourself claim you know this was done for no purpose and equate it to trophy hunting. This isn’t some industrial logging operation deforesting the Amazon, is a couple of arborists who happened to find a tree shaped like a heart ffs.
