Not surprised, with how much of IT is dealing with stupid ass people, or smart people with dumb problems, and what I imagine are the same ten or so main dumbass problems, if my work is anything to go by. Naturally women are good at dealing with frustrated annoyed people, right? Uh the printer is disconnected, I can’t access my email, my password expired while I was on leave … I know there’s more to it, and more divisions than tech support, and some of the work can be really high level and sophisticated. Tech support though, of all genders, patience of saints, especially over the phone, or, lunatics or both!
