    Can’t speak for the movie, haven’t seen it no desire to, but the short story is great, the standout in the collection.

    I am just way too distracted by Blood being an Old English Sheepdog/ rascally mutt cross. What the fuck. Blood is a badass: that is like casting Lassie to play Fenrir. Holy crap. What were they thinking. Imagining the movie dog handler looking like Ace Ventura and all, lol.
    But yes, takes some explaining in words or a really good film to have the rape and fava beans angles be necessary and not gratuitous.
