I’m not sure if this has anything to do with the new system; but it was easier to save cool stuff when the pictures had names that weren’t simply numeric strings.
Seems to be impossible to add content to the main site anymore. Anything I ever attempt to add goes to a weird “blog posts” category on plus.myconfinedspace.com and then is never seen again. I’m guessing this is why anyone only ever sees Tiki or storminator posts ever posted?
everything is added as the blog category, that’s the default category. if you can give me a couple examples of ones that you’ve submitted but haven’t seen yet I can investigate. there’s only been a few that I intentionally declined, and I’m pretty sure those were not from you and were spam.
My two most recent posts (one titled “Evolution?”) were “queued” in the “Blog Post” category and never appeared on the main site. Do you need URL’s or filenames or anything else?
you missedd the reply link with your comment. The evolution one was in there twice, once as a stand alone image and once as a full post. The standalone image was approved, the post declined.
it usually takes about 24-48 hours for me to notice them in the queue, I only load it up when I’m at home, and this week has been a weird one at home with me reading comics I bought at Megacon instead of dicking around on the internet.
URLs directly to the posts in question would have been more helpful, then I could go directly to them. I’m honestly not 100% happy with the way the submission system is formatted and I’m open to suggestions on making the whole process clearer. Maybe I can just make it a completely different template, but that sounds like a lot of work and I have a case of beer calling my name tonight…
When I click the reply link on your comment, the placeholder text says “Click here to leave a top level comment…” (just saying).
Anyways, the whole image submission process is confusing and not good and that’s why it looks (at least to me) that only you and maybe 1 or 2 other people are regularly taking the time to submit things. I vaguely remember the “Add Content” button previously went to a form that said “add photo(s)”, with a title and a description. Now, I see WordPressy-esque “Add Post”, “Add Media”, etc. and it’s not clear how to properly send things up.
well the reply worked that time, lol. right now the “add Content” link goes directly to the “add a new post” page, perhaps I can have a Choose Your Own Adventure page that asks if you want to submit a single image or not, then perhaps redirect to the submitted post after submission?
the status of the post itself isn’t all that clear afterwards, it’s literally just a post field that I don’t think I’m even displaying, which is bullshit. Then, on top of that, it’s not displaying at all on the plus side of the fence after it’s been approved, and there’s times that people add comments immediately after submission that don’t make it to the front page.

I need to make a list of frustrations to make it better I think

what do you mean? the images still have full links as far as I can see
A very large number of pics that I have looked at have numeric titles while saving despite descriptive titles on your site.
I’m not sure what to add
an example would be useful
The title on the below post says “superflex – superflex”, when saved the picture title becomes 59929123_1449745155165853_6814893048649466484_n
that’s an instagram post, that’s how they format their images, which is a garbage way of handling images.
Well ok then. Thanks for looking into it.
