I was absolutely blown away by this movie. I’ve only played a single Pokemon game, and that was Pokemon Go, which isn’t really like any of the other pokemon games from my understanding. Having not played the games, I was still able to recognize a huge number of the pokemon in the movie and could appreciate how perfect the cgi for them was. I highly recommend checking this out, even if you’re like me and just have a passing familiarity with the franchise.

Heartwarming, fun, and good action sequences. Loads of Pokemon, from many realms. Lots of great moments; my favourite was Pikachu brokenly singing the theme song at a rather dark juncture. That moment my fave by one of his adorable whiskers over the, and the.. oh and …
So yes, agreed – highly recommend checking this out for some warm and fuzzies. Thumbs up.
