Here’s some snap judgements on the comics I read this week:
-
I’m surprised how much I’m enjoying a Valiant book with no superheroes in it.
-
I’m assuming this is the final Buffy story due to fox taking back the franchise for their inevitable merger with Disney? Regardless, it’s been well written and I’m sad to see the series go.
-
Why she gotta be so violent all the time?
-
This is one of the most wordy Marvel books that I’ve picked up in a long time. Normally I enjoy reading wordy comics, but this one just kinda spins in the mud for a bit and doesn’t go anywhere.
-
Oh, the Punisher is off killing people because he’s the Punisher and they’re bad guys. I don’t believe the main person that’s killed here is going to stay dead very long, they’re one of the biggest villains of the Marvel Universe and it would be just plain stupid to have “The Punisher” be the one that puts them in the ground forever.
-
I’m pretty sure this is a new writing team and I’m not sure that I’m a fan yet.
-
Magic Man?
-
Emperor Pappy is a rude man and this issue lays out all the reasons why Vader ultimately threw him down a shaft.
-
“Fungal Spectral Ghost of a Dead Jedi” is not a phrase I would have thought I would ever run in to, yet here we are. This is consistently one of the better Star Wars books that come out every month, and what I would hope for in the “Star Wars Story” movies.
