Fallout Shelter is a free-to-play simulation video game developed by Bethesda Game Studios, with assistance by Behaviour Interactive, and published by Bethesda Softworks. Part of the Fallout series, it was released worldwide for iOS devices in June 2015, for Android devices in August 2015, for Microsoft Windows in July 2016, Xbox One in February 2017, and PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch in June 2018. The game tasks the player with building and managing their own Vault, a fallout shelter.
It’s like SimTower, but with less to do and more repetitive quests outside the confines of the hole you’ve dug yourself into. Think of it as a mobile first game that I played on both Windows 10 and xbox one for about 40 hours, doing the same thing over and over again. It’s addictive and easy to fall into but man there wasn’t a single thing about the game that really wowed me.
It made me buy Fallout 4 though, so mission accomplished?
