When his wife (Elisabeth Shue) and daughter (Camila Morrone) are violently attacked, Dr. Paul Kersey (Bruce Willis) hunts down his family’s assailants to deliver justice. Fury and fate collide in the intense action-thriller “Death Wish.”

I remember the first trailer for this film was pretty terrible, with a doctor murdering people left and right, set to AC/DC’s “Back in Black”, which was a complete shift in tone from the original film’s rage, remorse, and thirst for inappropriate vengeance.  That song does make an appearance in the film, but luckily it’s in a relatively appropriate moment, and the film doesn’t treat the whole thing as one big joke like the first trailer did.  This is one of Willis’s better recent roles, but honestly he’s just been cashing a paycheck without much apparent investment in the stories he’s taken part in.
