My first achievement for this game was 12/3/16, then after that day apparently I didn’t pick it back up until a couple days ago when I completed the rest of the game in one sitting. What distracted me from finishing Tron: Evolution? Who Knows! Could have been a dog or a cat, but in reality it could have been ANYTHING because this game was straight up rough to play at some points. There’s a cool backstory here about what happened immediately after Clu attacked Tron and Flynn, the former being captured and the latter escaping and forming a resistance with the ISOs. Shamefully though, it looked like all the cut scenes were recorded at 480p and voice over work was not recognizable, though the store page claims both Bruce Boxleitner and Olivia Wilde worked on the game.
I could over look both of those if the game elements of the game actually delivered, but I found myself running into broken areas of the game in nearly every level, there was one section towards the end that was a simple wall run + jump to a handhold on another wall that I had to try out at least 40 different times, trying to gauge the distances and jumps. It came down to just dumb luck that I was able to get past that section, but after about the 15th attempt I had to turn down the game sound and turn on some other music just to distract me from the de-rezzing sound and reboot animation that was frustrating me so much.
This is is skippable if you’re not a huge TRON fan and even then….ehhhhh
