This is gonna be necessary in the US soon. Increased automation (which is coming REGARDLESS of wages) will result in massive unemployment. We have two choices: Guaranteed Income (funded by cuts to our overfed military and the rich being taxed at actually fair levels), which will allow more artists to make art instead of being trapped in an 80 hour work week… or large amounts of people starving in the streets while internet edgelords pretend that Ivy League college is free because they haven’t made their first student loan payment yet and therefore anyone who isn’t attending Harvard just isn’t applying themselves enough.
