This is a great film, but I have no clue how it lines up with the books, as I’ve never given them the time of day, Steven King really doesn’t do it for me as an author. That being said, there’s enough of a hint of a cool universe hiding out in this movie that I’m interested in finding out more.
The books are variable in quality, the first two or three are truly amazing. I love Idris Elba, but the movie was a huge disappointment as a fan of the books. I hope the the proposed TV series still happens and it is a true adaptation of the books as opposed to the psuedo-sequel the movie was intended to be.
