I knew someone who had a dog that kept climbing the fence or digging under it. It was a big wooden privacy fence. They lived in a busy area, and the dog was always trying to get out to where stuff was going on.
Eventually they built an elevated platform kinda like this, higher than the fence, but right in the middle of the yard.
He’d sit up there all day surveying his domain…and he stopped trying to escape.
