Stephan Schütze did the music for Yonder: The Cloud Catcher Chronicles, and we talk of course about that in great detail.
But Stephan also just finished a book about audio in VR and AR, and it was very cool to talk with him about what is happening in audio these days. He talks about the psychology of music, and how audio in VR opens up an entirely new set of possibilities.
One note for you about the music: we could only get three tracks to use in the episode, so there’s not a lot of music in this interview. There are a couple musical examples tossed in from the classical world so we could highlight certain concepts Stephan talked about, and we’ll end with a track Stephan wrote for a game called Nicktoons Unite!
