Remember Prometheus?
This is the same movie, just a little different. I enjoyed the on ship stuff that they had in space, but the moment they set down on the planet everything went to shit and everyone forgot their training and consequently got dead, very quickly and very stupidly. Nearly every bad thing that happened during the film was the fault of the idiots that were in charge, with the sole exception of the opening scene, which by god’s holy name I did not expect at all, and hit hard because I saw the prequel scene, which as the movie’s only redeeming feature, wasn’t even a part of the movie itself.
Skip it and wait for James Cameron to come back to the franchise, Ridley Scott is obviously burnt out on it and doesn’t have much left to say in the Alien universe.
