Evolution is proving to be much more complex than just the idea that individuals spread their own genes to the next generation.
The risk taker for instance? What good is having a genetic predisposition to being reckless….to be less likely to live long enough to pass on your genes…? Turns out, that when the tribe is in trouble, it is a good idea to have a few guys around who don’t think twice about risking their necks.
Evolution manages to do this.
So what is the evolutionary role of homosexuals? It could be the dissemination of culture. Homosexual (males at least) are very over represented in the arts…fine arts, music, writing, performing arts. Maybe tribes with more highly developed artistic culture tend to succeed more.
Maybe evolution manages to make sure there are few artsie (homosexual) types to bolster culure…and make the tribe more competitive…
Think about that the next time you air guitar to Bohemian Rhapsody….
Being down-to-earth about homosexuality, doesn’t mean that one can’t consider a gay\bi guy named Farrokh, the greatest singer\front-man ever.
But to understand that, you’d have to be able to see all the colors in the spectrum (or that rainbow, the LGwhatever groups like so much, if it’s too complicated word), not just black and white.
Among other things.
P.S.
We’re living in 2017, and this guy is back in -2017, with tribes, and shit 😀

Tribe is a metaphor….and shit…
No it isn’t, but if you want to use it as such, you should indicate it “somehow”.
Yes it is.
And you don’t label metaphors. That would be a simile.
You do know that the world tribe can be used as a description of any social group, ethnicity, political leaning or country…?
You could look it up…
No it isn’t. You should look it up, in some other sources than you’re using now.
Yes I do, but like I’ve said in that other post, I don’t really care about figuring out what author had in mind. That’s the said authors “duty”.

So what…?
Once again, see defintion (2) above.
Your inflexibility in language usage is seriously hindering your comprehension and ability to communicate.
So which one is it now ? Is it a definition, or not ?
