In an early spy spoof, aging Sir James Bond (David Niven) comes out of retirement to take on SMERSH.
Utter nonsense with it’s own silly charm, there’s not much I can say about this that’s nice. Considering the source material at the time and the state of spoofs I guess I shouldn’t have expected very much, but I was still let down by how intentionally dumb the plot got as the movie progressed. Be aware there’s some pretty racist stuff towards the end with a whole army of “injuns” played by white guys that show up to help fight the final ridiculous fight.
