This film gave me nightmares as a child, and it’s been sitting in my ‘to watch’ pile for a couple years, I never really worked up the courage to watch it until today. I can see that there were good reasons for the nightmares, this is a really messed up film. It’s enjoyable and I recognized some common tropes, but it’s not the kid movie that someone may assume it is when they see the Disney logo on it. Ray Bradbury wrote the story that the movie is based on, it’s best to consider this an entry into Disney’s brief excursion into the Twilight Zone.
