I just finished both seasons of this.
It starts out strong…fairly close to the books, and the stuff they changed actually made sense and probably made it better for TV.
But it lost a little steam about midway through season 2. They may have tried to cram too much in and started simplifying the storyline.
Still good, but not as good as the first season and a half.
Maybe that had to do with losing Thomas Jane too…
I’d still highly recommend both the books and the series.
And Savage had a cameo in the final episode of season 2.
And it was pretty cool to recognize the university I went to being used as a location (the Martian Embassy used both interiors and exteriors from my old school).
