Natalie Portman stars as a mother and wife fighting in the rugged western plains to defend her family from being massacred at the hands of a ruthless and violent gang.

Natalie Portman can do no wrong, even in a western movie. It’s good to see her working with Ewan McGregor again, and just reinforces the idea that their lack of chemistry in the Star Wars prequels was someone else’s fault.

This is a great film, with a script that doesn’t go over the top and action scenes that seem believable, with the exception of a overly verbose explosion or two.
