A spectacular descent into nature’s ultimate mystery – The Black Hole.
Have you seen the most excellent The Black Hole from Disney? If not, I highly suggest it, it’s an awesome film that completely captivated me as a youth and still sticks out in my mind as one of the best science fiction movies I’ve ever seen. Anyone viewing it for the first time in a modern setting may think differently, but my nostalgia allows me to see it through these rose colored glasses, so kindly shut your mouth about it.
This is the novellization of that movie and for better or worse there are no changes nor any additional backstory. I actually had to go back to the movie afterwards to see if the main bad guy was as braggadocios in the film as he is in the book, and yes he is.
I’m happy that Alan Dean Foster went on to be able to make novelizations that went deeper into the story and background motivations of movies, it’s a shame this movie didn’t get that same treatment.
