I once had a Tarantula Hawk land on me in New Mexico. Had no clue what it was. Took a pic and it flew off. My buddy said it was a Tarantula Hawk so I looked it up. Wiki says its the 2nd most painful sting in the world. So glad it was nice to me. I guess they sting a tarantula and inject its larva into it. The larva grows and eats the tarantula alive from the inside out.
Nuke it from orbit.
It’s the only way to be sure.
