The Night Manager is based on John le Carre’s novel, ex-British soldier Jonathan Pine (Tom Hiddleston) is recruited by MI-6’s Angela Burr (Olivia Colman) to infiltrate the inner circle of an arms trader named Richard Onslow Roper (Hugh Laurie).

An excellent performance by Tom Hiddleston and Hugh Laurie as well as the entire supporting cast. The sets were insanely beautiful and the story riveting and nuanced. Six episodes of about an hour each, this is really just a slow burn / long movie that really delivers on it’s basic premise.
