The first “Monsters” movie was an allegory for Immigrants and drug runners coming to America. This one is an allegory Americans creating bigger monsters in the middle east and the surrounding populations. The special effects were insanely well done, and I would suggest watching it just for them alone, but the story and acting was on the same level. There’s some rough patches in there, but it’s an enjoyable film.
