So funny! My daughter was so pissed because they “whitewashed” the ending as compared to the book. It was a Hollywood ending. I won’t say what was supposed to happen to not ruin it for anyone…
That is sooo funny. My daughter was sooo pissed when they changed the ending from the book to the film to make it more “Hollywood”. The film’s ending was rosier!
remind me of the differences? I thought they were pretty similar, but it’s been nearly 10 years since I read the books.
How verrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrry hilarious. My child was enraged due to the altered ending contrasted to that of the book. It sure was a fag-tastic and slutty Californian ending! But I won’t spoil it for everybody…………………………

The one was brainwashed to kill her, and even after the war was over couldn’t stand to be near her. She basically goes back to an empty life with her sister’s cat that she hated. It definitely wasn’t the ending you expected, but was completely realistic.
In the movie, he was just “confused” and the ending was her looking lovingly at her husband and child at sunset in a lovely hay field. …
